Nope! While I do cover the fundamentals of the music staff (it's genuinely useful to understand), my teaching approach deliberately avoids relying on notation. You'll learn the way most modern musicians actually work - by ear, by feel, and by understanding the why behind the music. The staff is there when you need it, but it's never a barrier.

The course is taught on guitar, but does not focus on guitar technique. A few lessons do teach concepts specific to the guitar, but most course content applies universally to all musicians.

That's entirely up to you. The 45 video lessons total around 12 hours of content, but the real learning happens when you practice and apply the concepts. Some students move quickly, others take their time. You have lifetime access, so there's no rush - go at whatever pace works for your schedule.
